Many Photographers don’t like to take pictures once the guests are sat down eating. I am one of those Photographers…most of the time. I find people don’t take to having their picture taken with a mouth full of food. Sometimes, though – if you pick the moment – you’re able to capture some lovely shots of the guests. If not the guests, then at least shots of the wonderful cakes!
Not so long ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Kelly and Rob on their wedding day. Straight after the service, we quickly scooted off in the limo to Portchester Castle, quickly grabbing a few shots of them both. The weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind at the moment. One day it’s sunny, then rain for three days…and repeat! It just so happens we were lucky.
When i’m not photographing people, in my spare time I ‘paint with light’. It’s a relatively new form of photography that’s essentially running around in front of the camera…in the dark! Long exposures, tripods, home made light contraptions; all go together to create some other-wordly images. Some more examples can be found on my ‘about me’ page.
